New Hat Pattern: Persimmon

Knitters Graph Paper Journal knitting

The Persimmon beanie is made up entirely of Merino Fingering Weight Yarn – the kind that's plied only twice, making it loftier. It's got double thickness brim by starting with a provisional cast on, folding it over and joining, all in K2 P2 ribbing. Then the stranded color work portion provides double thickness too, but a little more lightweight than the brim. Overall, it provides a lot of warmth, and feels soft and cozy.

Rowan Morrison Books at the Bumblebirch Booth at CGFF

If you're in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, head out the the Columbia Gorge Fiber Festival. Rowan Morrison Books will have a little pop-up shop at the Bumblebirch booth. Stop by and get your hands on some of Sarah Kurth's beautiful hand-dyed yarn, and say hello.

I'll be there Sunday to attend Norah Gaughan's Cabled Yoke workshop, and then to make rounds through the marketplace. ...Trying not to spend too much money on yarn! *YEAH RIGHT*
