Narangkar Glover’s paintings are autobiographical fragments framed within the psychological space of a landscape. According to Glover, a new picture can’t replace past memory, so the substance stands in lieu of it, takes on new characteristics, and reveals the tactile, proprioceptive experience of recollection.
Created during her MFA program at UC Berkeley, Shangri-La Girls School weaves a story about her time spent as a young child at boarding school in India.
